A New Generation of Theatrical Séances

Here is what a basic performance of The BOSS looks like:
The host ushers the sitters into the room where the séance will be held, and he begins the proceedings by reading some of the guidelines and procedures that have been set by The International Association of Séance Mediums. Once all of the formal business has been completed, it is stated that The International Association of Séance Mediums officially recognizes the session.
The official session then begins with the host preparing several tests that may, or may not, be conducted by the Medium later in the gathering. (The preparations include the random selection of a Case History Number by one of the sitters.) These steps are necessary at this early stage to avoid any unnecessary delays or distractions during the possible moments of spirit contact later in the evening.
Upon the completion of the preparations, the host conducts one or two basic tests with the sitters. If the results are positive, the medium is then called for, and he (or she) enters the room. After a few moments of personal preparation, the medium conducts one or two additional tests. If these tests produce positive results as well, the medium states that he will attempt direct communication with the other side.
Several of the sitters are instructed to record details (such as names, dates, cities, etc.) in notebooks that have been supplied to them while the medium-in a trance-like state-attempts to speak directly with the spirit.
At the conclusion of the direct spirit contact, the sitters with the notebooks have accumulated numerous bits of information that the medium has received from beyond. A comprehensive list of the details from their notebooks is created.
The Case History Number that was randomly selected near the beginning of the session is revealed for the first time. The Case History Binder is opened to the corresponding Case History File and that specific file is read aloud-during which, the list of details that was gathered by the sitters is examined to see if there are any similarities between that information and the previously selected Case History File. A high percentage of "hits" are discovered, proving that the spirit that has come through is indeed the same one in the Case History File that was randomly selected earlier. This confirms the identity of the spirit that has been guiding the proceedings from the very beginning.
