For Your Protection
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 You probably notice that this page is simple black text on a white background. The reason is that the topic that we would like to briefly address is just that--black and white. There is absolutely no gray area when it comes to theft.
The Book Of Spirits Séance is a very unusual item. After all, it is not just another book of effects, it is an entire performance--including props. For this reason, we have taken extra precautions to help protect the rights of each authorized purchaser.
Sadly, there are certain individuals that simply do not respect the rights of others, and often those people feel that they are above the law. Simply put, they make illegal copies of items to give to their friends or, worse yet, sell to others. Not only is this a criminal act, it is also pompous, rude, and horribly unfair to every decent person in our industry.
With the constant changes in technology, such thievery is more common than ever before. And so, for the protection of each authorized purchaser of The Book Of Spirits Séance, we have devised a very clever (yet very well hidden) method of coding each authorized copy that is sold. In essence, each of the three binders included with each authorized set of The BOSS is different from all of the other sets in circulation.
The individual markings for each set are buried deep within the body of each binder. This process is possible because of the fact that we print, and assemble, each BOSS ourselves--and with this being such a limited release, we simply maintain a database that contains the pertinent information for each authorized set that is sold.
Our goal is to preserve the rights of those that purchase this special release, and we intend to pursue legal action against any individual that makes, and/or distributes, illegal copies of The Book Of Spirits Séance. We have strived to keep the purchase price of this limited release as low as possible so that it could be within the reach of any serious performer. In our humble (and, in this case, 100% correct) opinion, there is absolutely no acceptable reason to ever make illegal copies of any commercial item. (And, in fact, the same is certainly true for all forms of intellectual property--whether it has been published or not.) But with all of that said, for those that may choose to ignore the law, we look forward to seeing you in court.
